Chris Martin and Cold Play

Chris Martin and Cold Play
June 7, 2009 Ignacio Fiallos

I had the fortune of seeing Cold Play in Nashville. One of the best shows I have ever seen. Great music-great artistry and lots of balloons!

The most impressive aspect of the show was Chris Martin-He is in love with what he does, jumping around the stage all night, singing with passion and giving his bandmates one compliment after another. Chris Martin is clearly in his flow when he is on stage-He has found his calling.

I tell people that you can have a job, which is just a paycheck, or a career, which is what you can do for 30 years, or have a calling-which is what you are meant to do. The problem is that it is difficult to find your calling-one of the most difficult things we can do. In my new book, Full Throttle-I have an exercise for the readers to find their true calling-you have to write a purpose statement, write a list of your values and then write your five signature strengths. Then pick 2 careers and write a persuasive paragraph (as if to a friend) using the above 3 facets. The one that fits the best, is your best choice and most likely your calling.
